VHF/DSC including GMDSS Course & SRC Certificate
 
This is one day course where you will learn procedures and operation of the marine VHF/DSC radio.
Every Skipper, or person working towards Skipper´s qualification should by law hold an Operators Licence, if you have portable or fixed radio set on board.
 
SRC (Short Range Certificate) is issued  by RYA on behalf of MCA and in accordance with C.E.P.T (Conference European Posts and Telecomunications
 
Course Topics include:
-the basic radio operations
-the correct frequencies (Channels) to be used
-distress,emergency and medical assistance procedures
-making ship to shore telephone call-s
-Digital Selective Calling using Global Maritime Disterss and Safety System (GMDSS)
-Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB)
-Search and Rescue – SART
 
Courses are held in the school classroom , marina Jezera., using latest in teaching technology; Radio simulators, PC Software and Power Point presentation.
 
Examination by writen test at the end of course.

Students requiring Certificate shoud have one passport size photo and Licence fee GBP 30 payable to RYA.
